Jennifer Primeaux, LCPC, NCC, ATR is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Nationally Certified Counselor, and Registered Art Therapist, practicing in Wichita, Kansas.

Jennifer provides services for teens and adults. Her work comes from a variety of settings such as: community mental health centers, foster care agency, outpatient substance abuse treatment, and nursing homes. She has worked at the Veterans Affairs, FCS Counseling, and COMCARE of Sedgwick County.

She is an art therapist and encourages the art making process for people that enjoy creative outlets. “Artistic self-expression allows a person to use non-verbal images and symbols to take what is occurring on the inside and create images outside of himself or herself. It is not necessary for the person to have artistic ability to participate in art therapy, but they must have a willingness to put forth effort into the process. The person can share what he or she feels comfortable disclosing about their artwork.”

She is passionate about helping adults and adolescents work through emotions and thoughts. Processing allows for the client and therapist to focus collaboratively on essential topics, which helps a person make sense of his or her world. Populations of particular interest are women/families grieving child loss, anxiety, and intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder.
